Student Attendance

The law mandates regular daily attendance for all children less than 16 years of age.  Any child entering school after the regular start time of 7:40am is considered tardy.  If your student is tardy, an adult must sign them into school in the front office.


If your child is absent, the law also requires a written note stating why they were absent.  Please send a note with your child when he/she returns to school. 


We want to remind you that these issues are not just school policy, but state law, and failure to comply can result in referral to the appropriate District and State agencies.  Students on permit with poor attendance records are subject to loss of permit.
