Dress Code Policy

“Dress for Success”

Mandatory Dress Code Policy                   Thank you for keeping our focus on learning!

In accordance with Board Policy and our school's goals to promote high expectations of academic achievement and a positive learning environment our school has adopted the following dress code policy:

Approved Dress Code:

Shirts/Tops/Blouses:  Any solid color shirt, such as a polo, button-down, or turtleneck is acceptable. 
All shirts must have a collar.  School logo t-shirts are acceptable any day of the week.  Students are encouraged to wear their California Cheetah shirts on School Spirit Fridays.

Pants/Shorts/Skorts/Skirts/Jumpers:  The following are acceptable: Navy, Navy plaid, blue denim, khaki, black pants or blue jeans.  During the winter and wet months students may wear solid color sweatpants in the regular pant colors as long as they are not faded or over-sized.

 

The following items are NOT accepted at any time:
 

  • Baggy, over-sized, or sagging clothing
  • Open-toed shoes
  • Graphic T-shirts
  • Musical/Roller shoes
  • Spiked  jewelery or accessories of any kind
  • Dangling earrings/belts
  • Fake tatoos
  • Leggings worn as pants
  • Ripped, cut, or torn clothing
  • Short shorts (shorts must extend past finger tips)
  • Crop tops/midriff tops/tank tops/off the shoulder
  • Shirts advertising tobacco, alcohol, etc.
  • Shirts without collars/striped shirts
  • Belt chains, wallet chains
  • Camouflage clothing of any kind
  • Make-up of any kind
  • Cologne/perfume
  • Face piercings of any kind

Haircuts that distract from student learning, such as Mohawks, dyed hair, initialed hair or other extreme hair styles, are strongly discouraged.
